Cory Nowlin is a Kentucky native, who has been practicing bodywork and energy medicine professionally since 2012. Cory graduated from Lexington Healing Arts Academy in 2011, and has continued her education through various workshops and yoga university. She enjoys learning from different lineages and integrating a myriad of cross cultural practices in the arts of bodywork, yoga, meditation, dancing, and breathing.
Cory’s biggest passion is personal health and healing empowerment, specifically in her service to pregnant women and their families, where she serves as a birth and postpartum doula. She loves offering bodywork to expecting mamas, and even has a special massage table for them! The table has a belly hammock so the mother can lay on the table facedown, which is especially nice in the later weeks of pregnancy.
Cory incorporates Swedish massage, Myo-facial release, Thai yoga therapy, reflexology, Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian deep tissue), and energy work into her practice. She resonates with the statement that all humans are shamans, a word referring to the dynamic energy of the human being and its ability to be in relationship with every thing on many levels seen and unseen. Therefore, how we are in relationship to all of our relations determines our health. Cory sees everyone’s inner healer, proven by the way that our bodies naturally flow towards homeostasis. It is her great honor to facilitate healing for each unique body and journey.
